We bake handmade sourdough bread on the premises, using a range of flours
These include Organic Whole White & Spelt and depending on time of year would usually include such loaves as Bears Boule, Bear-ly White, Sundried Tomato & Oregano Boule and 50% Spelt Tin Loaf.
Keep an eye out for our Slow Proved Organic Loaf and our Honey & Raisin Boule.
Our old school donuts have become renowned and share counter space with danishes and other sweet things. Great with our ‘bean to cup’ coffee or mug of tea.

Bears Boule – round traditional sourdough loaf made with fine milled white flour
Bear-ly White – softer crumbed sourdough made with fine milled white flour
Sunny Boule – sundried tomatoes & oregano boule
50% spelt tin loaf – 50/50 spelt & strong white flour
Jalapeno Loaf – fermented jalapenos running through

SOURCING: We source as many ingredients as possible from West Country producers. Our free range eggs are from the farm just down the road, our meat from Colyton Town Butchers and our flour is local.
DOGS WELCOME : friends with paws are welcome – they can enjoy a drink and free dog biscuits too.
After a long dog walk relax with your pooch at The Bear Bread Bakery & Kitchen.
Unfortunately we are not able to allow dogs in the bedrooms.
